Short resume

Currently PostDoc researcher at UCSD (University of California, San Diego), department of Computer Science and Engineering, with Prof. Brad Calder.

From February 2001 to July 2004 member of the CAPS group at IRISA. I got a Ph.D. in computer science with the CAPS group in July 2004, under the direction of Prof. F. Bodin. During my Ph.D. thesis I have been working on low-power compilation techniques. My research was mainly concerned with hardware and software adequation techniques to reduce power consumption as well as program analysis techniques for energy-efficient compilation.

From March 2000 to January 2001, I worked as research engineer in the CAPS group, conducting advanced developments in compiler with emphasis on general purpose compiler environment for application specific processors.

In January 2000, I obtained a master degree in computer engineering at the Technical University of Berlin, in the department of Computer Engineering and Microelectronics, with major in Processor Organisation and Circuit Design.

Research interests

My main research interest is concerned with the interaction between compiler and computer architecture with main emphasis on (1) low power optimization, (2) high performance, (3) multimedia applications, and (4) debugging and security issues.
