The Software Technologies: Applications and Foundations (STAF) 2026 is a federation of leading conferences on software technologies. It was formed after the end of the successful TOOLS federated event in 2012, providing a loose umbrella organisation with a steering committee that aims to provide continuity.
 

Since last year, The International Conference on Software Language Engineering (SLE) has joined STAF Conference. This allows us to provide participants with a rich and diverse program, and an overall exciting week of science and research.
 

The STAF federated event runs annually. The conferences that participate may vary from year to year, but all focus on practical and foundational advances in software technology. The conferences address all aspects of software technology, from object-oriented design, testing, mathematical approaches to modelling and verification, transformation, model-driven engineering, aspect-oriented techniques, and tools.

This year STAF will be held in the beautiful city of Rennes in France, in the Inria center at the University of Rennes.

La conférence Software Technologies: Applications and Foundations (STAF) 2026 est une fédération regroupant les principales conférences sur les technologies logicielles. Elle a été créée après la fin de l'événement fédératif TOOLS en 2012, qui a connu un grand succès, et constitue une organisation forte avec un steering committee qui vise à assurer la continuité.
 
Depuis l'année dernière, la Conférence internationale sur l'ingénierie des langages logiciels (SLE) s'est jointe à la conférence STAF. Cela nous permet d'offrir aux participants un programme riche et varié, ainsi qu'une semaine passionnante consacrée à la science et à la recherche.
 
L'événement fédéré STAF a lieu chaque année. Les conférences qui y participent peuvent varier d'une année à l'autre, mais toutes se concentrent sur les avancées pratiques et fondamentales dans le domaine des technologies logicielles.
Les conférences abordent tous les aspects de la technologie logicielle, depuis la conception orientée objet, les tests, les approches mathématiques de la modélisation et de la vérification, la transformation, l'ingénierie pilotée par les modèles, les techniques orientées aspect et les outils.
Cette année, le STAF se tiendra dans la magnifique ville de Rennes, en France, au centre Inria de l'Université de Rennes.
