Saint Malo is approximately 65 kilometres North of Rennes, 350 km West of Paris. See site information

Saint-Malo is a touristic city surronuded by stones walls making for very pleasant walking tours with a nice view on the harbour, beaches and manu neighbouring small islands. Built on a granite rock in the english Channel, Saint Malo is joined to the mainland by a causeway.

Saint-Malo was founded in the 6th Century and, since the 16th Century, it was the point of departure to a great number of expeditions in search of the New World.

How to go there?

• By train, (TGV, high speed trains) to Rennes directly from Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (about 3 hours) or from Paris-Montparnasse (about 2 hours); then connections by train to Saint-Malo (about 1 hour).
  Important: reservations are required on the French TGV.
  Railway 20% discount vouchers for a round trip (from any French station to Saint-Malo) are available: please tick the appropriate box on the registration form.
• By air:
  
  • from Paris Roissy Charles de Gaulle pr from Paris Orly to Rennes St jacques airport (1 hour) with connections by trains from Rennes to Saint Malo
  • From London to Rennes (then 1 hour train) or to Dinard/St Malo airport (13km from the conference site, by taxi) via jersey Island;
  • Other flights directly go to Rennes from European airports to Rennes
  An average discount of up to 50% may be obtained for a round trip plane ticket inside France (on Air France connection).
