Founded in 1988, Academia Europaea is a learned society that works to promote learning, education and research in Europe and in the world. It welcomes about 3000 members who are leading experts from all over Europe in the physical sciences and technology, biological sciences and medicine, mathematics, the letters and humanities, social and cognitive sciences, economics and the law.
