Fluid Motion Estimation: Water-vapor sequence

Contact: Thomas Corpetti, Etienne Mémin, Patrick Pérez

The algorithm is now tested on a sequence of 22 water vapor images, taken the 4th of August 1995. Due to their low photometric contrast, the study of water vapor images is a tough problem. In this sequence, we observe a rotational motion in the left part of images, and a formation of a small divergence area during the sequence on the right. We present vectors fields and reconstructed trajectories estimated with the fluid model and with a generic one. Maps of vorticity and divergence estimated with the fluid motion estimator are presented.
