Grey Level Images of Planar Scenes

A short presentation...

Here are the sequences containing grey level images or planar scenes. These images can be downloaded in PGM format, and are shown here in a reduced sizea and GIF format.

The sequences are sorted with respect to the variation that occurs between the shots. The other parameters which are not described as varying are stable... as far as we could control the environment.

Different kinds of variations

The image sequences

Variations of a single light source (g2_1l)

Variations of two light sources (g2_2l)

Variation of a single light source, while the scene is also illuminated by another diffuse light source (g2_al)

Variation of internal camera parameters (g2_ip)

Variation of the viewpoint (external camera parameters) (g2_vp)

  1. The scene is orthogonal to the rotation axis (for rotations) or to the optical axis of the camera (for translations).
  2. The scene is not orthogonal to the rotation axis (for rotations) or to the optical axis of the camera (for translations).
  3. Other motions with no orthogonality considerations

Variation of illumination and viewpoint (g2_iv)

Variation of the scene composition (g2_sc)

Variations of several parameters together (g2_sp)
