\u2022 Implementation of a free-throw simulator<\/div>\n\u00a0\u2013 user-friendly interface<\/div>\n\u00a0\u2013 modular program<\/div>\n\u00a0\u2013 learning platform for people<\/div>\n\u2022 Increasing the quality and speed of learning<\/div>\n\u2022 Developing motor skills<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\u2022 Multidisciplinary work<\/div>\n\u00a0\u2013 Computer science, Virtual reality, Sports science, Biomechanics<\/div>\n\u2022 Immersia in VISIONAIR project was a unique chance to address the problem<\/div>\n\u2022 Basketball free throw involves<\/div>\n\u00a0\u2013 large spaces (requiring large screens),<\/div>\n\u00a0\u2013 high speeds (requiring high-speed tracking facilities)<\/div>\n\u00a0\u2013 high accuracy (requiring accurate motion capture facilities).<\/div>\n\u2022 Technical facility gives the possibility to evaluate if immersive environments are promising means to improve physical performance.<\/div>\n\u00a0\u2013 Many papers demonstrate that this type of environment improves motivation<\/div>\n\u00a0\u2013 It is still difficult to demonstrate a real improvement of the physical skills with such a technology.<\/div>\n\u2022 Next step of this project is to more clearly analyze how to involve such an approach<\/div>\n\u00a0\u2013 in a real learning process and with low cost systems.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
