Profile
I graduated from the Moscow State University, Russia, in 2005, having specialization in "Informatics and Applied Mathematics". My researches for the master diploma were supervised by prof. Yuri Bayakovsky, the head of the Laboratory of Computer Graphics and Multimedia of the faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics. My research activities at the university included motion estimation, video deinterlacing, video and image denoising, image demosaicking, object segmentation.
Research Activities
I started my PhD in october 2005, in the context of the European project DISCOVER (http://www.discoverdvc.org). My current research interests cover different aspects of distributed video coding including hybrid motion interpolation, benefiting from both mesh-based and block-based motion estimation, source coding.
