Approach
- To obtain the best trade-off between robustness to losses and compression.
- Optimal sharing of available bandwidth between raw data and redundant (FEC)
data taking into account both the network and the source characteristics
- Network loss behaviour approximated by Markov chains.
A Few Results
FEC adapted only to network (p=0.08, q=0.60, MTU=576 bytes); .
