The illumination model of a distiant point light source and ambient diffuse light is defined by three illumination parameters. The first parameter is ratio between maximum irradiance of the point light source and the ambient irradiance. Irradiance is the received light energy per illuminated surface. Further on, a polar and an azimuth angle define the direction of the point light source.
