Profile

Thomas Guionnet received the B.S. degree from the university of Newcastle Upon Tyne, U.K. in computer science in 1997. He obtained the engineer degree in computer science and image processing and the PhD degree from the University of Rennes 1, France, respectively in 1999 and 2003.

He was research engineer at INRIA from 2003 to 2004 and was involved in the french national project RNRT VIP and in the JPEG 2000 Part 11 - JPWL ad-hoc group.

He is currently research engineer at Envivio and is involved in the design of high performance real-time MPEG4-AVC/H.264 encoder.

His research interests include image processing, coding and joint source and channel coding.
