Using Spherical Harmonics for Molecular
Recognition Problems10h30 Salle Aurigny
The question of how to compare and classify the 3D structures of
proteins is one of the most
important unsolved problems in computational biology. To help tackle
this problem, we have
developed a novel algorithm called 3D-Blast which represents and
superposes protein folds
using a polar Fourier shape-density representation.
