Awards

• Géraldine Pichot was ranked first at the competitive selection of junior research scientist (CR2) at INRIA Rennes.
  She is a permanent member of the team Sage since October 2010.
  
• Sarah Leray won the prize 2010 from the French Society of Agriculture (Xavier BERNARD foundation) for her master thesis / engineering degree from ENGEES.
  Internship was done in team Geosciences in 2009 (see below).
• Tanguy Le Borgne won the prize of young researcher 2010 from the Brittany council.
• Jean-Raynald de Dreuzy won a grant from Europe (Marie Curie program) and got a grant from Spain. He will stay three years (September 2010-June 2013) at UPC, Barcelona, Spain.

Conference organization

• The conference Domain Decomposition (DD21) will be organized by the team SAGE and the university of Caen
  it will be in Rennes in June 2012 (chair Jocelyne Erhel and Taoufik Sassi).
• The conference Parallel CFD was organized by the team CDCSP in Lyon in May 2008 (chair Damien Tromeur-Dervout).
  The proceedings were published by Springer as LNCSE in 2010 (editors Damien Tromeur-Dervout, Jocelyne Erhel and al.)
• The second summer school on Flow and Transport in Porous and Fractured media was organized in Cargèse in August 2010 (members of the organizing committee at Geosciences Rennes: T. Le Borgne, P. Davy, Y. Méheust, J-R. de Dreuzy, O. Bour)

Mobility

• Julia Charrier will stay 12 months (September 2011-September 2012) at INRIA, Nice (Sophia Antipolis), France She obtained a grant for a postdoctoral position.
• Delphine Roubinet will stay 24 months (January-December) in 2011 at University of San Diego, CA, USA. She obtained a grant for a postdoctoral position.
• Julia Charrier spent 2 weeks in September 2010 at University of Bath, GB. She was invited by the department of mathematics.
• Anthony Beaudoin moved to University of Poitiers, in September 2010. He is assistant professor and a member of the research team Pprime.
• Géraldine Pichot stayed 3 months (April-June) in 2010 at UFZ, Leipzig, Germany. She obtained a grant from Germany.
• Delphine Roubinet stayed 5 months (August-December) in 2009 at LBNL, Berkeley, CA, USA. She obtained a grant from Brittany council.

• Etienne Bresciani defended a Ph-D at the university of Rennes 1, on 2011, December 19.
  The subject is closely related to MICAS project and H2OLab platform.
• Baptiste Poirriez defended a Ph-D at the university of Rennes 1, on 2011, December 20.
  The subject concerns the topics on multilevel methods and fractured media.
• Thomas Dufaud defended a Ph-D at the university of Lyon 1, on 2011, November 25.
  The subject concerns the topics on multilevel methods and porous media.
• Julia Charrier defended a Ph-D at the university of Rennes 1, on 2011, July 7.
  The subject concerns the topic on Uncertainty Quantification.
• Delphine Roubinet defended a Ph-D at the university of Rennes 1, on 2010, December 3.
  The subject concerns the topic on porous fractured media.
• Romain Le Goc defended a Ph-D at the university of Rennes 1, on 2009, December 22.

  He is in charge of the software implementing the generation of random conductivity field.
• Hicham MACHROUKI was appointed post-doc in the team P' at Poitiers (previously LMPG, Le Havre) on 2011, january, for 6 months.
  The subject is "Macro-dispersion in 3D computational domains".
• Laurent Berenguer was appointed research engineer in the team CDCSP on 2010, september 15, for 16 months.
  He is in charge of the software implementing Schwarz domain decomposition.
• Géraldine Pichot was appointed post-doc in the team LMPG on 2009, october 1, for 18 months.
  The subject is "Macro-dispersion in 3D computational domains". She resigned in october 2010 to take a permanent position at Inria.
• Nicolas Kielbasievich was appointed research engineer in the team CDCSP on 2009, september 1, for 12 months.
  He was in charge of the software implementing Schwarz domain decomposition. He resigned from his research engineer position at the university of Lyon, on 2010, january 31.
• Nadir Soualem was appointed research engineer in the team SAGE on 2008, october 1, for 36 months.
  He is in charge of the management of the H2OLAB software platform.
