Contexte
The Dionysos team of the IRISA laboratory invites applications for a postdoc position on Edge computing and virtualization. The postdoc is part of a collaborative project funded by the Brittany region. The latter, aims to develop a platform that facilitates the deployment of IoT services, with a focus on image processing services, by leveraging virtualization technologies and edge computing resources. The results will be tested and validated on maritime use cases.
Mission
The global objective of this postdoctoral is the design and implementation of a service/network-aware kubernetes-based orchestrator and the different exposed interfaces.
The postdoc is expected to independently take the lead of one or two work packages and to participate in the realization of the tasks of these latter.
The postdoc will be also involved in mentoring junior researchers and students in our team.
Other activities:
- deliverables drafting ;
- lead meetings and communicate with the project partners ;
- participate to the dessimination of the project results.
Profil / Compétences
The candidate should hold a PhD in Computer Science. A strong background in networking and good knowledge about Network virtualization is required.
Experience on Kubernetes-based implementation and machine learning is considered an advantage.
Good scripting and coding skills.
Good writing and communication skills.
Autonomous and team working capabilities.
