Short Biography
I received an Engineering Degree (2008) followed by a Master Degree (2010) from the University Politehnica of Bucharest, Romania. From May 2009 to October 2009 I have joined the Myriads team for an internship on active replication for distributed grid services. The result of this internship was Semias, a framework that provides high availability and self-healing for services distributed on a structured peer-to-peer overlay. This framework was used to make Vigne's services highly available.
Currently I am a PhD student working on the management of virtualized resources to meet application QoS. The thesis is a result of a CIFRE contract between EDF R&D and INRIA. My current research interests focus on scheduling algorithms for virtual machines and on provisioning policies for SLA-based cloud provisioning.
