Thesis Subject

Supervised by Françoise André and Olivier Barais

Environmental adaptation of services in large scale distributed architectures.

Now a lot of applications are built from existing services. Those services allow to separate the different functionalities of an application into distinct parts.

Very often these services are available on infrastructures such as large scale networks, computing grids, mobile networks; all these infrastructures being highly dynamic.

Therefore they need to be adapted to take into account this dynamism.

The aim of my work is to define generic types of actions useful to adapt services on distributed architectures. One of those types concern actions that allow to modify system configuration (for example the scheduling algorithm). Next I will work on the planning of those actions in order for them to be executed in efficient, coherent and distributed ways.
