Bringing High Performance to the CORBA Component Model

High performance component-based software infrastructures, such as
Padico, are in particular very well suited to dealing with the complexity of
executing code coupling applications on Grids. Padico embodies two important
features: an extension of the CORBA component model (GridCCM) to support
parallel components with distributed data and a runtime infrastructure
(PadicoTM) that enables network transparency letting components to
communicate with each other independently of the underlying networks
(SAN, LAN, WAN) or protocols.
