(Very) short biography

I obtained the degree Diplom-Ingenieur in Media Technology from Ilmenau University of Technology in 2010. Since october 2010, I am a PhD student at IRISA/CNRS in the field of automatic speech recognition under the supervision of Guillaume Gravier.

Research

My research aims at integrating phonetically motivated approaches to automatic speech recognition (ASR), such as event-based (also referred to as landmark-based) ASR, into state-of-the art large vocabulary hidden Markov model based ASR.
The first objective is the development of new features, models and training frameworks for landmark-based ASR. The second objective is to integrate this heterogeneous phonetic knowledge into the viterbi decoding of a standard multi-pass speech recognizer.
