Research interests and current projects

• Audio signal processing
  

• Structured representations (constrained non-negative matrix factorization, sparsity, adaptive dictionary learning)
• Compressed sensing and new sampling strategies
• Bayesian inference and statistical models for audio signals
  
• Applications to music analysis and indexing, hearing aids, acoustic imaging
• Part of the ANR-funded ECHANGE projet (ECHANtillonnage Nouvelle Génération) and the FET-Open project SMALL (Sparse Models, Algorithms and Learning for Large-Scale Data)
  

Short CV

I graduated from Télécom ParisTech (formerly known as ENST) in 2004 and obtained the M.Sc. in Acoustics, Signal Processing and Information Technologies applied to Music (Master ATIAM) in 2005. I prepared my Ph.D. in Télécom ParisTech under the supervision of Pr. Gaël Richard and Dr. Roland Badeau, during which I focused on theoretical and experimental aspects of non-negative matrix factorization applied to automatic transcription of polyphonic music. After my defense in october 2009, I joined METISS team as a post-doctoral researcher, and stayed there as permanent staff member after my recruitment by CNRS in 2010.

Parallel to my research activities, I was also Teaching Assistant (monitrice) in Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris 6) where I taught programming (Java, Scheme, Maple) in 2006-2007 and worked in Palais de la Découverte, Paris, France, one of the most famous national museum for scientific popularization.
