Signal files

SPro currently supports three signal file formats: RAW, WAVE and SPHERE. The default format is the raw 16 bits/sample PCM format, that is, raw PCM data with 16 bits per samples. Note that the sample rate must be specified when using the raw PCM signal format. By default, the sample rate is assumed to be 8 kHz.SPro also supports WAVE files and can optionnally be linked to the SPHERE 2.6a library, in order to directly read SPHERE signal files¹. In the two last cases, the sample rate is directly read form the signal file header. All the information in the NIST header are lost.
