PRESENTATION

As its predecessors, this 9th conference focusses on concepts, techniques and experiences in modelling and evaluating the performances of computer and communication systems. The tool exhibition with the presentation of 21 software tools provides a very good overview of the activity of the community and of its trends. In addition to the 17 accepted papers, the invited speakers will address new challenges.
This 1997 conference is being held together with the 1997 International Workshop on Petri Nets and Performance Models (PNPM). An attractive tutorial section (shared with PNPM) will open the conference. It comprises 12 up to date presentations.
