April 7th, 2012 Thanks to the contribution of Lucas Lopes Lemos and Guillaume Laurent from FEMTO-ST, AS2M department, Besançon, France, ViSP is now able to grab images with the CMU 1394 Digital Camera SDK.
March 5th, 2012 Thanks to Thomas Moulard, we have release new ROS (Robotic Operation System) packages that use ViSP capabilities for camera calibration.
October 27th, 2011 New documents image manipulation and processing, computer vision algorithms, geometric objects and building a visual servoing task are now available.
October 25th, 2011 ViSP 2.6.1 SDK including pre-built ViSP libraries and headers is available for Linux Fedora 15 and Ubuntu distributions.
October 20th, 2011 ViSP 2.6.1 release under the terms of the GPL v2 license is out.
September 6th, 2011 New ViSP camera calibration tutorial.
This tutorial focus on camera calibration tools implemented in ViSP.
August 22nd, 2011 New ViSP 3D and vision related transformations tutorial.
This tutorial focus on 3D transformations (rotation, translation, pose and also velocity or force-torque twist matrices) and on vision related transformations (camera models, homography) that are implemented in ViSP.
May 3rd, 2011 Add possibility to track cylinders using the model-based tracker.
ViSP-images-2.6.1.zip (67.4 Mb) data set was updated with a new sequence for the model-based tracker example.
April 14th, 2011 New ViSP image manipulation tutorial.
This tutorial focus on ViSP image manipulation with a description of the image structure, how to read and write images, how to display an image using a graphical user interface and finally how to acquire images using supported framegrabbers.
April 13th, 2011 Introduction of new videos that illustrate ViSP capabilities: object grasping to build a tower by visual-servoing (direct link to the video, or see general overview pages), augmented reality application from the tracking of a castel (direct link to the video, or see general overview pages), augmented reality application from the tracking of a painting (direct link to the video, or see overview pages dedicated to Ogre simulation capabilities).
March 22nd, 2011 Introduction of a new vpAROgre class that enables augmented reality applications based on Ogre 3D. An overview is provided here. A tutorial is also available here.
