Associate Professor, Université Rennes 1 (ENSSAT Lannion)
University of Rennes 1 (ENSSAT Lannion, graduate engineering school of UR1, electronics engineering department) invites applications for a junior faculty position with an expected start date of September 2012. Teaching is in computer engineering and digital systems design with a specific focus on low-power and energy management. The Associate Professor will do his/her research in IRISA/INRIA laboratory (CAIRN team). His/her research activities should reinforce or complement the research activities of the team and can address any topic related to embedded systems, system-on-chip design, reconfigurable architectures and low power architectures.

Research Profile
Laboratory: IRISA (UMR 6074) and INRIA Rennes - project-team CAIRN
The candidate will be affiliated to the CAIRN project team of IRISA Lab. and INRIA Rennes - Bretagne Atlantique. The scientific topics of the the team concern architectures, design methods and algorithms for domain-specific or reconfigurable system-on-chip (SoC), with a particular emphasis on energy-efficiency, flexibility and dynamicity.
Applicants with interest in the following areas are particularly welcomed to apply: embedded systems, system-on-chip design, reconfigurable architectures and low power architectures, wireless sensor networks, green radio.
