What is the ADOC?

The ADOC is the PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers' association of the IRISA and the Matisse Doctoral School in Computer Science, Signal Processing and Electronics. Founded on 15th October 1993, the ADOC is a non-profit organisation (Loi 1901). Our mission is to improve communication between PhD candidates, to inform them and to improve recognition of the PhD as a formation. The ADOC also has a representative role for institutions such as the research laboratory, the doctoral school, ...

Nouveau bureau élu / New board elected

The Extraordinary General Meeting that was held on March 7, 2012 has seen the election of a new ADOC board. It has been unanimously approved by the present members.

Here is the new ADOC board:

President : Lamine DIOUF
Treasurer : Amélie STAINER
Secretary : Surya NARAYANAN NATARAJAN

As usual, the previous board members will be in contact with the new board to ensure a smooth transition.

There have been no other votes during the meeting.

Dear PhD students, candidates, and post-docs,

The ADOC's yearly General Meeting will take place in 2 weeks, on March 7th 2012 at 5 pm in room LES MINQUIERS (B025 - next to the IRISA cafeteria).

The meeting is open to everyone! There will be a short presentation of ADOC, the election of the new board and an informal cocktail reception. All PhDcs and young researchers can join. ADOC members can become part of the new board.

The ADOC newsletter no. 2 has just been released! It is our first newsletter in English, so that a wider public can read it and become informed.

Short summary:

Prochaine AG de l'ADOC

Chers doctorant(e)s, post-doc(e)s, ATER(e)s,

l'ADOC organise sa seconde Assemblée Générale le 8 Février prochain, à 17h, en salle AURIGNY (D165).

Au programme :

Présentation succincte de l'ADOC
Discussion sur les objectifs et projets 2011
Élection du nouveau bureau
Pot

L'assemblée est ouverte à tous, et sera COURTE. C'est l'occasion pour les nouveaux doctorants de découvrir le fonctionnement et le rôle de l'association ; Il est encore temps d'adhérer ! (et pourquoi pas faire parti du nouveau bureau !!...). L'adhésion coûte 7 € pour 3 ans (et donne droit à 4 bouteilles de cidre pour le pot de thèse). Pour les non doctorants, l'inscription pour 1 an est de 3 €. Bulletin d'inscription à apporter (avec les sous) à Pierre-Emmanuel Cornilleau (IRISA - Celtique) ou sinon le jour même de l'AG.

N'hésitez pas non plus à venir donner votre avis sur les activités de l'association, ou sur les actions que vous aimeriez que l'ADOC mène.
